Part of our mission is to research and preserve the fascinating and vibrant stories of Halberstadt’s former Jewish families. Since our foundation in 1996, the Moses Mendelssohn Academy has worked continuously to build up a worldwide network of the descendants of these families and to keep their memories alive.

The Berend Lehmann Museum is a place of remembrance and respect. Here, visitors can experience the rich history and cultural heritage of the Jewish community in Halberstadt. We present exhibitions, collections and programs that celebrate the life, art, traditions and contributions of this community to the history of Halberstadt and beyond.

The Moses Mendelssohn Academy is an educational branch of our organization. We organize seminars, workshops and events to promote awareness of Jewish history and culture. Our efforts extend beyond the borders of Halberstadt and we have built up a global network of people who are committed to researching and preserving this important history.
